this is a carnivorous planet the question i have is at what point do you draw the line? it's true most witnesses believe no carnivorous activity existed before the flood and will end after armageddon how is that possible how can the ecological system function like that? the pretty little pictures never explain it.

they hold that this was gods original purpose and further believe that the restoration prophecies (isaiah 11:6-9; 65:25) foretell a future return to this state.. for the most part, jw publications have (wisely) avoided discussing the specifics of this belief, but one notable exception to this rule was the article "when all nature will be in harmony" which appeared in the october 8, 1982 issue of awake!.
this article basically asserted that predation is simply a learned behavior that is connected to the fall of man in some unspecified way.

evidently every life is not precious to jehovah because everyday the poputation increases and the bodies stack up and rather than killing them mercifully he will terrorize them as they run holding their children as the angels shoot fire balls from the sky. that is true love and goodness and lets be happy to participate. if each witness had to press the button to send fire balls down on groups 0f a thousand with a smile on their face how does that feel. it horrifys us but its ok for god how are we expected to love a god who does things we would'nt do. it makes no sense.

i'm starting to realize that the anger i feel at this religion seems to feed on itself.
soon, i will be tried for my 'crimes' by men who honestly don't believe themselves to be policemen.

Christopher I was very affected by what you said and it seems to me that you have ripped your heart open and put it out there very courageous. Life is often not clear especially for what I think is a small segment of the population that asks why am I asking these questions. I really understand that because I do it to I was born that way I keep trying to make sense of things and it can make you crazy since it doesn't seem like most people are doing it. My mother is not a witness she's catholic and all my life I never related to her very well She said to me one don't tell me those things I don't want to know I'm happy the way I am and oddly enough she seems happy in her ignorance. So don't feel alone It's a lonely road but your not the only one on it. Some of us just have to open that door were like moths to a flame others will not appreciate this quality and life can be difficult but not unliveable.

How come people with the least means of supporting themselves ''Pioneer'' ?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy cousin told me last week that for the month of february she was ''pioneering''.
here is a person who was divorced 2 years ago and had to move in with her mom because she can't afford to live on her own .she only works 4 days a week.
she pays $600 every 2 months for health insurance because she is self-employed.

abraham , a question for those who still believe in god
by looloo inwhy did god ask him to kill his own child ?
my ex dub hubby is put of god by that story alone ,and my 21 year old daughter thinks it was very cruel of god to play mind games with abrahams head if its true ,why would a loving god do such a thing and what was the reason ?
i still believe in god myself but can not give an explanation for that one at all ..

there are so many bible episodes that don't feel right to me and everytime I tried to find a good and reasonible explanation it would only last for a little while and than the question would come up in my mind again and I grew tired of trying to make it fit. I've decided if I don't feel good with it I don,t care who said or did it. I'm just leaving at "it just feels wrong".

I remember when the titanic movie came out and everyone saw it then during the co visit he gave a talk about how bad it was because of the breasts it was funny because lots of people felt quilty and no one talked about it again. We just thought that guys an idiot I think he gave a stars wars kibosh as well.

the prospective of someone born in as opposed to choosing at the age of 36 is very different. I was looking for new and different ideas about the meaning of life and at first it was intriguing never thought of living on earth forever never knew the bible that well so it was exciting at first lots of new people to talk to and I thought it was all about asking questions and searching and I didn't have any problem with being in a unpopular group. however as time went on the spider web of entrapment was weaving around me. one day you realize this was a mistake its ablock of concrete. all I am trying to do now is learn from it and continue my search. the only thing I feel confident about now is intellgent design what that intelligence is doing I'm not sure what it wants I don't know. I am continuing the pursuit of possibilities.

Why 'Apostates' Are All The More Remarkable
by metatron ini was watching an interview with hank paulson ( big time former government official who pushed all the humongous bailouts of banks into being).. he was the ultimate diplomat referring to bush ( who couldn't even put together a coherent sentence) as a skilled politician who understood the dangers involved, pelosi as "cooperative" ( yeah, sure), and others in complimentary terms.. it all resembles the final scenes of the novel "catch-22", in which the main character (yossarian) is told that he can be free if he agrees to love and speak well about his superiors.. this is the normal response: you lie thru your teeth about the ignorant, venial thugs who ordered you around, even after you are free of them because you probably are never totally free from them!
you kissed a$$ when you were around them and so it's not difficult to continue doing it now.. "opposing", being an "apostate" may require a greater sense of self sacrifice than the 'righteous' behavior that preceeded it!
why not just lie and say, 'the governing body are great guys", 'bethel service is the closest thing to paradise", 'this really is the "truth'".. metatron.

Why Jehovah's Witnesses Are Discouraged From Using the Internet
by AllTimeJeff inat a recent series of circuit assemblies, the governing body put out warnings on what in their view is the latest danger from satan, designed to break the faith of jehovah's witnesses everywhere.. facebook.. yes, thats right, apparantly, the gb is concerned because a lot of people are having "facebook sex".
they are meeting old friends who aren't jehovah's witnesses and getting it on with whomever would willingly sleep with them.
evidentally, the gb would like their flock to believe that when jw's get on facebook and other social networking sites, fornication happens.. now, this is news.

I imagine when the printing press was invented it sent shockwaves thru the church and those in power becuse now information began to move an uncontrollable pace and those in power lose their grip. same with the internet its pandora's box no stopping it now. nowadays everytime you have a question first thought google it. that will make very difficult to convince newbees with no witness connection to seriously consider wt info.
